Requirements for information provided about stages in practical shooting competitions.

V. INFORMATION ABOUT STAGES

5.1. General rules

5.1.1. The Athlete must adhere to the safe conditions of the Stage after being notified or given a written briefing explaining the Athlete's requirements. Information about shooting Stages is divided into published and unpublished.

5.1.2. Published shooting Stages - registered athletes receive the same information about the Stages during the same period before the competition. The information is provided by mail or electronic means of communication, or links to the Internet site.

5.1.3. Unpublished shooting Stages - registered athletes receive the same information about the Stages during the same period before the competition. Detailed descriptions of the Stages are not published in advance. Instructions for performing the Stage are provided in a written briefing on the Stage.

5.2. Written briefings to Stages

5.2.1. Written briefings to the Stages, drawn up in accordance with these Rules and approved by the Chief Judge, are provided for review directly at the border where the Stage is built before the competition. The written briefing contained in the Stage shall take precedence over any other information about the Stage that is published or otherwise disseminated to athletes prior to the competition and should include the following information:

5.2.1.1. types and number of targets;

5.2.1.2. the number of shots;

5.2.1.3. for a shotgun - the number of hits on a paper target;

5.2.1.4. for shotguns - type of ammunition;

5.2.1.5. position of readiness of the firearm;

5.2.1.6. launching site;

5.2.1.7. starting signal (sound or visual);

5.2.1.8. method of counting points (for "speed" and "SOF type" Stages);

5.2.1.9. types of firearms and non-firearms (for "mixed" Stages);

5.2.1.10. for a air handgun and air carbine - a method of fixing the time of the Stage (last shot and / or finish plate);

5.2.1.11. order of execution.

5.2.2. At each Stage, the judge reads aloud a written briefing to each group of athletes, demonstrating the starting position (using the image or in person) in competitions of all ranks.

5.2.3. If necessary, the Chief Judge may make changes to the written briefing during the competition for reasons of clarity, consistency or safety.

5.2.4. After the announcement of the Stage briefing and answers to all questions that arise in athletes, they are given the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the Stage. The time for acquaintance is set by the judge at the Stage and is the same for all athletes in the competition. If the Stage has moving targets or similar equipment, they must be demonstrated to all athletes the same amount of time and time.

5.2.5. Competitions in practical shooting are held according to the rules applicable to this discipline. Any voluntarily accepted rules that do not comply with these Rules are not allowed to be used in competitions.
