General principles of practical shooting competitions under WPSF rules.

I. GENERAL PRINCIPLES

1.1. These Official Rules for practical shooting sport competitions (Rules) set the main principles of organization and conduct of competitions held by members of the World Practical Shooting Federation.

1.2. These Rules are designed considering the Rules and Principles of the World Practical Shooting Federation.

1.3. The requirements of these Rules cover all practical shooting competitions types.

1.4. Meaning of terms and abbreviations used in these Rules:

1.4.1. WPSF or Federation – World Practical Shooting Federation;

1.4.2. Competition - a type of shooting sport aimed at mastering and developing techniques that most fully meet the various cases of using firearms and non-firearms.

1.4.3. Competition organizer – a body of sporting kind, which acts as organizer of practical shooting competitions on international, national, regional, city or club levels;

1.4.4. Organizing Committee - body set by organizers of the competitions with the purpose to control documents, competitors’ access to the competitions, firearms and non-firearms handling, and which consists of Chief Judge, Match Director and other persons, appointed by competitions’ organizers;

1.4.5. Official persons – authorized persons officially appointed by competition organizers for assurance of duly conduct of competitions;

1.4.6. Competition - a sporting event held to compare the achievements of athletes and determine the winners in accordance with the competition rules WPSF and the approved regulations for these competitions.

1.4.7. Ranks practical shooting sport competitions - level of sporting event held by WPSF members.

1.4.8. Shooting discipline is an integral part of shooting sport, which includes one or more types of competitive activities of athletes within the framework of a competitive program.

1.4.9. Athlete or Sportsman - a person who regularly engages in practical shooting and participates in sporting events organized in accordance with competition rules WPSF.

1.4.10.Technical regulations – represent norms for Range and course construction and testing, as well as other equipment functioning, requirements to the equipment and firearms and non-firearms, approved by the WPSF.
